金属探测器使用前，需要调整探测杆的长度，只要将黑胶通旋松，推拉胶通套管至适宜的长度，再旋转胶内通管，使电缆线绕紧，并使手柄尖端朝上，最后将黑胶通旋紧，锁住胶通套管。这样，手握探测器手柄时，大拇指正好紧挨灵敏度调节电位器。
